The platform eXPert of s.d.i. allows the realization of complete systems for telecontrol, consisting of a central system and remote terminal units (RTU) to be placed near the plant devices to be controlled. The core system is composed of various elements including the operator workstations, equipped with single or multiple monitors (videowall), SCADA equipment and components for dial-up or continuous connection (I/O Server, modems pool, ...)..

The system is scalable and can be interfaced with equipment of third parties, being the control center eXPert integrated with third parties RTU or conversely, integrate RTU of the s.d.i. family STAR (using protocols communication IEC 870.5.101/104) with pre-existing third parties control centre .

eXPert platform is currently used in a wide range of applications, ranging from distribution systems in electricity (for which there is a complete package DMS) to GAS transport and distribution.

Moreover is used in the public utilities, creating systems for the public lighting management, traffic lights network , control of sewerage, gas pipelines and aqueducts, water purification systems, explosive atmospheres detection systems, all in sites spread across wide geographic area.
